England seamer Mark Wood has been recalled to the XI for the fifth and final Test against India in Dharamshala.

Wood, 34, comes into the side in place of Ollie Robinson in England’s only change from the five-wicket loss in Ranchi.

Robinson struck an excellent 58 with the bat, but struggled with the ball as he went wicketless across the Test.

Off-Spinner Shoaib Bashir did not train on Wednesday, but captain Ben Stokes is confident he will be fit to feature.

Aside from Lancashire’s Tom Hartley, there are no other frontline spinners in the squad.

Both Jack Leach and Rehan Ahmed left earlier in the tour.

The visitors go into the Test knowing they cannot avoid a series loss, with the current scoreline 3-1.

A win in Dharamshala, the home of the Dalai Lama, however, would restore some pride and give vital points in the World Test Championship (WTC) table.
