Kent have confirmed the signing of Australia pace bowler Xavier Bartlett for the first half of the 2024 County Championship season.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed a whirlwind few months after making his Australia debut and winning the Big Bash League (BBL) with Brisbane Heat.
Bartlett was an immediate success in national colours, taking 8 wickets in two ODI’s at an average of just 4.75 to secure the player of the series award.
He will available for five of the first seven county championship matches, as well as the T20 Blast group stage.
In 19 first-class matches across his career so far, the Queenslander has taken 66 wickets at an average of 25.68.
Playing in England represents a different challenge, but Bartlett is keen to learn and excel.
“I feel like I’ve made a lot of progress over the past few months, and this is a great opportunity to test my skills as a bowler further in English conditions,” Bartlett said.
