West Indies’ all-rounder Fabian Allen was reportedly mugged outside a hotel in Johannesburg, where he was staying with Paarl Royals.
The incident happened on the morning of January 25, whereby the assailants attacked Allen at gunpoint and stole his phone and personal belongings.
Since the alleged attack, Allen has featured in two games, both against the Durban Super Giants.
Paarl Royals have confirmed he is available for selection in the eliminator against Joburg Super Kings on Wednesday, stating that Allen is “safe and enjoying his time at the SA20”.
The franchise have also confirmed that the player received adequate supported after the incident, and are dedicated in ensuring the safety of everybody involved.
