Pretoria Capitals bowled out for 52 as Sunrisers Eastern Cape complete a 9-wicket victory at St George’s Park in Port Elizabeth.

English openers Phil Salt and Will Jack began positively to combine for 25, but Salt’s dismissal to Dan Worrall instigated an remarkable collapse of 10 wickets for just 27 runs in 63 balls.

Their final score of 52 was the lowest score in the history of the SA20 competition so far.

Only Salt, 10, and Jacks, 12, were able to reach double figures as SEC’s impressive pace trio of Marco Jansen, Ottniel Baartman and Dan Worrall ripped through the heart of their lineup with startling ease.

Baartman finished pick of the bowlers with 4-12 in his 3.3 overs, though much of the leg-work was done by Jansen and Worrall as they captured the dangerous scalps of Kyle Verreyne, Rilee Rossouw, Jimmy Neesham and the opening pair of Jacks and Salt.

Dawid Malan departed for 1 early on in the chase, however Jordan Hermann and Tom Abell shared a 50 stand to reach their target with an unbelievable 79 balls to spare.

Victory for the hosts leaves them in third with 10 points from 4 fixtures.

Pretoria Capitals, however, sit in last position with 4 points from 4 games.
